CollegeTracks Seeks Volunteers for Paint Branch High School

CollegeTracks needs your help to ensure students find the best fit colleges and have enough financial aid to make their dream of going to college a reality! CollegeTracks changes lives by giving low-to-moderate income, first-generation college-bound students the chance to go to college and succeed there.

We seek daytime volunteers to volunteer with our College Access program, which serves high school juniors and seniors.  CollegeTracks Access Volunteers perform a variety of tasks related to the college admissions and financial aid processes. Specific tasks include registering and preparing students for college admissions tests, creating college lists that match students' interests and abilities, application preparation to include essay writing, completion of the FAFSA, and guidance through the admissions process. We provide training along with materials, resources, and plenty of staff support.

Our Mission: CollegeTracks’ mission is to change the lives of low-income students in the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) System by helping them get into college, and succeed once they get there, with college admissions counseling, financial aid advising, and college success advising.

Commitment: Volunteers are critical to our work, which is incredibly rewarding! The minimum commitment is one day a week during lunch (10:45am-12:15pm) or one day a week after school (2pm-4pm) for the duration of an entire academic school year (September-June).

To apply, please visit our website or contact Michele Parsonnet, Operations Manager, at mparsonnet@collegetracksusa.org or 240-507-5206. Thank you for considering offering your time and talents to CollegeTracks!
